Hi,

Here's a group picture of the Roseanne cast with the boy playing the grandson wearing the cute dress he was wearing in the earlier post on the show's revival.

Hey thanks for that one Andy, I have not had a chance to see the new show yet. Did not know about the grandson either.

It hasn't aired yet. They keep moving the airing date up later & later. Right now the first show of the revival is scheduled for March 27. Only 8 episodes are planned.

I don't watch too much TV so I have not seen the schedule. The shows I do watch are the British Mysteries and comedy's when they are on or I will go to youtube videos of the shows. My cousin mentioned a new Brit Box he got for available British TV shows but I am not paying their rates for that. He has a whole lot more money than I and keeps his Yacht at the Toronto Yacht Club.

I don't even get cable TV. But with my cheap indoor antenna, I get a little over 40 channels on a good day & over 30 channels on a bad day. On a good day I can even get channel 5 & 19 from Toronto & a couple French Canadian stations. Lots of commercial, infomercial, & church stations that I had to block, so only about 2/3 of the channels I get, I actually watch.

Back when I had cable or Directv & over 200 channels, there were only 18 I ever actually watched, & some of those were local, network, or Canadian channels that I get with the antenna anyway. So I'm getting more channels that I actually watch now, than I did with cable & satellite.

The only bad about no cable, is I have to know a show or film exists to want to watch it. I don't get to hear about whats on cable or stream services much. So unless someone mentions it, I won't know it exists.

99% of every movie, TV show or video ever made is available free somewhere anyway, if you're handy, tricky, & careful. But believe me, Facebook & twitter is more dangerous than most places you can watch or download video. Extra care should be taken if the source of the media is coming from eastern Europe, the middle east, or Asia. But I consider Facebook, twitter, social media apps, phone apps, & windows 10 apps more dangerous & risky than the rest of the internet & usenet combined.

Betty's actually got it's start on the Usenet in 1981. It started as just a small newsgroup on newsgroup servers in Buffalo, Toronto, Rochester, & NYC. The usenet is still a great source for free movies, TV, video, & music, but the procedure to get them, is a bit complicated.

Getting British programming & TV is incredibly easy though. They stream most of their stuff as well as broadcast it. So all you have to do is fool their servers into thinking you're in the UK. Easy peasy! I can make their servers think I'm the Queen of England if I wanted to.

I take requests. Is there any particular show or film you're looking for? I could probably find it unless it's very rare or out of print. And if I never heard of it or saw it before, I might want to watch it too.

After well over a year of hype & postponements, Roseanne is finally tonight. Unfortunately thanks to all that constant hype, even if it's good, most will be disappointed because they tuned in with high, & unrealistic expectations.

She's a devoted Trump supporter, who's character also plays one, so this will either be interesting or a total disaster. Lets not forget the original show got canceled because it got stupid. She was no longer a novelty, but a fool & nut case in desperate need of therapy.

Has anybody seen any of her recent work? Nobody will touch it.

Ok I just finished watching Rosanne and the young boy who plays Mark is very talented. He delivers his lines like a natural and gets along well with Sara Gilbert (his mom). I can say I did get tired of the original show after awhile and I may only watch a few of the new ones but it seemed to be struggling. Time will tell if it will make it or not. I will Google to see who the young boy was and what other shows he was in but he did make the character believable. Thanks for the info Betty and Andy for the cute pic.

I had to take a nap after dinner so missed it. I breathe better with my COPD at nights & overnight when pollution, ozone, & humidity is the lowest, & the air is cooler. Also indoor pollutants from the other tenants in the building from their cooking, cleaning, showers, & laundry is less at night. My DSL internet connection & our web servers are faster overnight too.

So I'm a night-owl. But the phone woke us up way too early this morning. The kitties & I couldn't fall back to sleep afterwards. Didn't recognize the number, so didn't answer. A quick lookup of the number later revealed it originated from India, with reports that they're fake callers claiming to be from Time/warner-spectrum offering a great "deal". I'm sure they would ask for your credit card number or personal info.

As a former dance & nightclub DJ/VJ, & band tech, I was used to being up some nights anyway. But even as a building engineer at my day job for 16 years, & a smaller place for 2 more years, I often had to be at work by 4-6am. So I would have to get up at 2-4am to get there on time. I was never one of those people to get up & rush out the door for work. I enjoyed some quiet or personal time & meditation before going to a job. With pets in the house, they enjoyed the time together before I'm gone 6-12 hours. So I actually loved getting up at least 2 hours before I had to be at work so I can have some pleasant quality time before a job. Starting work at 4am had advantages. If it was only an 8 hour day, I might be able to leave by noon! Even a 6am job could mean I might be done by 2pm. I may have even packed some snacks so I didn't have to take a lunch hour, or would rush to eat as soon as I was done for the day.

Anyway, I just downloaded the first 2 episodes of the TV show to watch later. I'll probably compress them to run in our private viewing section here for those who missed it.
