Great find, & not bad for an old Polaroid shot. Actually the quality looked good enough to try my enhancing with it for archiving. Got rid of the blemishes & dots damage, & airbrushed out the stupid text they put over the image too.

Speaking of Polaroid -- the process is over 20 years old, therefore the patent has expired. I discovered last weekend that Fuji Film is now making a "Polaroid" type film as a sort of novelty (don't know what they call it since "Polaroid" is a trademark of the now defunct Polaroid Corporation).

20 years? My dad took all the family holiday pictures with a Polaroid in the 1950s & 60s. The instant Polaroid camera technology is almost 70 years old. Yep. Fuji bought them out after Polaroid filed for bankruptcy.
People liked to take nude, sissy, & ABDL pix with them because they didn't have to take their private & personal images into a store to be developed. And it was always nice to see your pictures within a minute of snapping them before digital cameras were around.
I can understand the logic in still making the instant film cameras for some countries & areas. Some people in rural areas, in 3rd world countries, or out in the field don't have computers or can't easily get access to a computer screen, or sometimes even reliable electricity. Sure one can take pictures with even a small cheap used phone these days, but even they need to be charged somewhere.
The day they can make a phone that can take pictures, play favorite tunes, text, get wifi, & make phone calls that will run on standard AA batteries I'll buy one, & I sure a lot of people will... even if the batteries make it a little bulkier than the ones with thin lithium batteries in them. It can be a lifesaver for people with unreliable electricity or in the field that can buy alkalines cheap, or rechargeable AAs at almost any store in the world, or carry cheap spare batteries.
Of course with no computer screen, one is stuck with small pictures on the phone. If they don't have easy access to a big screen, you can bet a printer or a film developer isn't nearby either. I haven't used a printer since 2005.
Except for a few motorized models, almost all Polaroids would work without batteries if you didn't need a flash. The electronic exposure & shutter had a spring controlled release that took over the function if the batteries were weak or dead.
Then there was the pocket-sized Instamatic cameras with the thin flip/flash. The power for the flash was built into the disposable flip flash, so the cameras never needed batteries. But you still had to take the film to those to be developed onto prints.

Yeah, patents only last 20 years from the date of the application. In the 1950s, it was 17 years from the date the patent was granted, which usually turned out to be more like 25-30 years total. Back in the day, Polaroid maintained their near monopoly by constantly improving the product and patenting the improvements, like the technology required to go from black-and-white to color, or not having to wipe the photo down with a sort of "fixing" brush.
This is unlike copyright, which has to be "for a limited time" according to the U.S. Constitution, but thanks to Mickey Mouse that "limited time" appears to be Forever minus one day, with Disney going to Congress to get the copyright extended every time "Steamboat Willie," and therefore Mickey Mouse, is about to fall into the Public Domain. At the time the U.S. Constitution was written, copyright was for 14 years. In the first part of the 20th Century, copyright was 28 years, renewable for another 28. The comic book character "Richie Rich," for example, fell into the public domain when the author/publisher failed to renew.
But when in the 1970s the copyright on "Steamboat Willie" was about to expire, Disney and other Big Media went to Congress crying about "aging authors outliving their copyrights and starving to death because they could no longer charge royalties for them." Congress bought it (more precisely, they bought Congress) and copyright was extended. It happened again in the 1990s, where some works already in the Public Domain were put back into copyright, and today copyright is for the lifetime of the author plus 76 years, or 96 years for a "work for hire," where the copyright belongs to the author's employer rather than the author.
I just wish MY great-great-grandchildren could collect payments for the work I spent MY life doing! But for Disney and the big publishing houses, it's the "works for hire" clause that is of interest because in many cases they have authors perjure themselves by saying what they wrote was a "work for hire" so the publisher gets the royalties, not the author. One author, Orson Scott Card, has actually suggested in print (or on a blog, which amounts to the same thing these days) that copyright be limited to the longer of lifetime of the author plus 20 years or 100 years, while copyright on works for hire should be limited to 20 years, so publishers would be forced to build good relationships with their authors!
I don't know where this is all going, but based on the forever minus one day mentality, I believe some time in the early 2020s, we're going to see copyright extended again....

I can't find it through my normal connections anywhere. I'm sure you can buy it somewhere, but I'm not gonna pay $20-$75 to see or buy it. I also won't download & install someone's weird software they claim I need to see it, or sign up to join to view it at a place run by Russian mobsters, Chinese, or Pakistan criminals. At most of those places if you do download their software, or sign up, you'll get nothing but trouble, but never see the movie anyway.
I read it was a pretty bad movie. Maybe that's why it isn't easily available. But even the bad stuff from 40 or more years ago can be fun to watch in modern times.

I looked through this Auction site and found a vintage pic of Chris Evert playing tennis in the sweey white lacy tennis panties the girls would wear back then. How I envied them and I even tried to buy my own ruffled tennis panties once at a large Sports shop in Toronto. Of course they were all out of my size by the time I got up my nerve to ask the sales girl.

Hi Angela,
I posted pictures of Jackie dressed as a girl before, at least one of the ones I just posted, as well as some from Circus Days which was based on Toby Tyler and also made as Peck's Bad Boy with the Circus with Tommy Kelly. It's where the character Jackie and Tommy both played dress as the girl trick rider when she is injured and can't perform. Another version of Toby Tyler was made in 1960 with Kevin Corcoran, he of Moochie and the Little League fame, but Kevin didn't do a drag turn in that version. A Boy of Flanders was also remade as A Dog of Flanders in 1960 with David Ladd, son of the actor Alan Ladd, and, alas, no dresses for David either.

Yes andy. I remember seeing those movies when I was young and wanting to take the girl riders place myself, just to wear the Tutu outfit. I had only ever riden a horse once at that age when I went to a Carnival but I was convinced I could do it. It was a few years later that I got to stand in for a sick girl in an Ice Skating show. I loved every minute of it and got to keep the Leotard and all the coloured tights I had to wear for the costume changes. Believe it or not I still have some of them in a storage container but of course they are too small now and the elastic has long since rotted away.

Hi,
Victorian Carte De Visite CDV: Young Boy In Dress Posy Flowers 2 Of 2
https://tinyurl.com/y8ub3ha4
When I saw Aunt Sarah written on the back I contacted the seller to let her know that I thought she had confused this card with a different one. But she replied right away to say that it actually was a boy. This was her reply.
No there were several cards in the same hand writing from one collection.. some said “To Aunt Sarah” and plus I have another image of the same boy but in a suit with a toy boat.. I’m lead to believe that boys in dresses wasn’t unusual (though I think the posy Of Flowers is lol) for that time but I yet seen a girl in Trousers.
