One thing I'd like to do if money was no object and I had a very large house would be to assemble a collection of boy mannequins all wearing girls clothes. Very much like Nann Gilbert did.

Sadly the mannequins here are girls, but they are wearing some really nice dresses.

Probably not too much more odd than collecting dolls except they're bigger, so easier so dress up. Years ago life-size or almost life-sized dolls were more available to buy in stores than today, but life-sized boy ones were very rare.

This is an amazing collection of pictures and I wonder about the people who collect the mannequins and how they keep them hidden or explain their presence in the house or apartment they live in. It would seem that one collector makes and uses them in his work so that could be an excuse I guess.
