The really bad thing about genderless clothing is that clothing will not be fun & interesting to wear anymore. Granted, there is a time & place for boring or incredibly bland clothing when you just want to be comfortable, casual, & unnoticed.

But it wouldn't be fun to dress up if you to take all the pizazz, glitter, & frills out of clothes. You wind up with a population who looks like they're in the military, or all go to the same boarding school.

Even China gave up having everybody dress the same these days, because nobody liked it.

While i agree with what you say, the point is they are no longer going to label their clothes for boys or girls. From the report, "The clothing style hasn’t changed – you’ll still find floral dresses and skirts, but the retailer is simply proving the point that they can be worn by both girls and boys."

Many fetishists and transgendered people may be sad to see the traditional gender distinctions in clothing disappearing, but I for one welcome the change.  If a guy wants to wear a dress -- as a guy, with no attempt to pretend to be female, to pass as female, or to present as female -- more power to him. I see this as a step in the right direction.

the bottom line is this. John Lewis don't give a hoot about respect, all they're interested in is the contents of the parents wallets! and they are very aware of a ten year old's pester power!
