No 11 y/o kid should be in any bar, gay or straight. Maybe a restaurant that just happens to server liquor with dinners might be OK, but not a bar or night club.
On the other hand, I wish I could have got away doing half that stuff when I was a kid, but not necessarily in a bar.

I agree with Betty. 11 years old in a bar late at night just produces too many red flags for me. It perpetuates too many stereotypes also.
