Thanks for the link. Wonderful story and wonderful mom! Happy child. Although the mom does not yet seem to be thinking much about the long-term plans, i would be very surprised if this child does not insist on continuing to be a girl. So at some point the mother will need to get some consultations and, ultimately, some treatment for him/her at the appropriate age.

Hello I'm the mom in Sam's Stories. I noticed someone from this page came to my website. I'd like to clear up a few misconceptions. I do understand there are likely to be many hard and costly decisions down the road. Today my daughter had her name changed legally to the one she chose a year ago. It's not going to be easy but she's my daughter and my husband and I support her fully.
Summer 2015 a pediatric endocrinologist is coming to join the medical practice we go to, so I'm hoping we don't have to fly out to another state to keep track of the looming specter of puberty.
My blog is open to the public, as is my twitter and tumblr. Anyone who wants to visit my site from this one (or anyone, anywhere) is welcome. I have a lot to learn, and some of you might have a lot of insight on how to not f%ck up too often. (I'm sure if I can cuss here.)
Thanks for the compliment on my mothering. I love my child very much.

Welcome and glad you dropped by to visit. There are many of us here that feel we were raised as the wrong gender and had no support like you are giving your wonderful daughter. Congratulations on her name change and hope all your battles are small ones in the future. Oh and your battles with the Money Pit, been there done that. Good luck.

Hi,
You are a very good Mom and you are doing a great job of raising Egg and your other children. And thank you for allowing us to share in your stories.

I'm the author of Sam's Stories. I'm moving all of my daughter's blog posts to http://divergentflower.com. There are only a few posts but I will be updating her story there. I'm taking down Sam's Stories.

Hey Sam, hope you and your family are doing fine. I followed your site for awhile and left a few comments also. I was sorry to see you not posting anymore but now that I know you will be at http://divergentflower.com I can get updates. Inspite of all your own health problems you are raising a fine family and I praise you for it. I look forward to reading about your daughters progress as she seems to be a very happy child and knows who she really is.
Thanks again for the update.
