Reminds me of the young lad in the UK going to stuffed shirt co-ed educational academy.
The school had an (extreme) dress code stating no shorts to be worn.
The weather at times can be so unforgiving wearing constricting hot leg wear.
The youth made overtures to waive the rules and got nowhere.
But nothing was written or stated that skirts could not be worn as a fact it was the dress
code for females. So this bright individual started wearing a skirt and brought the house
down on the fuddy-duddy administration for it's unyielding dress code.

Real amusing in that the young lad was featured on TV and was not as one would expect
to be a rabble rousing trouble maker. Just someone with practical sense of values.
