Title: Peck's Bad Boy (Gallery)
Post by: Betty on June 12, 2014, 10:23:39 PM: There's been an occasional post or picture about the 1938 B&W film, Peck's Bad Boy with the Circus, but not many good pictures of it. Only poor copies of the film seem to be around.

There's also about 14 minutes of the film lost & missing, between around 32:00-34:00, depending which copy you're viewing. Hopefully someday someone will find a complete copy with nothing missing. The original movie without anything missing should be 78 minutes long. The current versions & DVDs of it, list it at 63-65 minutes long, because they're missing the 14 minutes.

I couldn't find a clear copy either, but I decided to make caps of what I have anyway. As usual, I tried to clean them up & fix the images a little, but they were so poor quality, there wasn't much to work with. Also, typical of most digital versions of films, the most pixelization & distortion happens during busy, complex, & action scenes. The crossdressing scenes in this film, happen to be mostly be busy, action scenes too, making it difficult to get any clear captures of them.

This is probably the most "somewhat" clear caps of the film you'll see anywhere. Definitely the most of the crossdressing scenes anywhere.

Thanks for your hard work. I posted this video a while ago. It's Jackie Coogan in "Circus Days" which is based on Toby Tyler or Ten weeks with the Circus.
