Hi,

Thanks for that Andy. That is the image that has been in my head for so many years.

I saw it too and wondered how the seller knew it was a boy. The stand-up flower in the hair is bizarre. The inscription on the back says "Christmas 1953 / to your [plural, familiar] Siegfried," which really doesn't mean much. Anyway, it *could* be a boy but it just might be a girl after all.

Hi,
Well I don't think there's any doubt about this one.

Cool. I saved this one, & sharpened it a little. Clearly no women in the group to help with the makeup.

Yes, I thought the lipstick was put on with a rather heavy hand.

Hi,
Found this on my daily search.
RPPC, boy dressed in frilly clown costume

When they told him he would be wearing a clown costume I wonder if he expected it to be a dress and tights. Doesn't seem to mind it though.

Such an adorable outfit... with tights & shoes with bows too!
It was so washed out, I had to clean it up to get a closer look. They don't make costumes like that anymore. Don't like the hat though.

Hi,
So, what do we think, boy or girl?

Too hard to tell. At that age the Adam's apple would be small, & there's no shadows around there to see.
I hope they don't mind, I painted over their lettering on the image, & fixed the color.
