Pretty pink sissy coat
« on: December 10, 2014, 09:45:02 PM »
I stumbled across this sissy/lolita coat browsing outfits on the web. They make it in adult women's sizes too.

It's got to be the prettiest coat I've seen in a long time.

But at $165, I don't think I'll be getting it.

That is very nice indeed. I have looked at them lots of times but it would be silly to buy one as i would never go out in it.

Turn down the heat & wear it around the house. Think of all the energy you'd save.

I always wear something warm around the house in winters because I can't afford to turn up the heat much since I got laid off.

Unfortunately even though I live alone, I can't wear what I want any time I want. I'm in a 16 unit building where over 30 people live (singles, couples, & couples with kids), & been here for 4 years now. So neighbors, property manager, or building maintenance will unexpectedly knock on the door in the day. Although with my COPD, I'm not well enough to be building maintenance here, I'm still handy with the more complex things, helpful with tech stuff, & get along well with my neighbors.

So I only get a chance to dress up if I stay up late when nobody would knock unless there was an emergency. Even then, it has to be a night where I feel l well enough too. Don't want to suddenly be gasping for air, or having a heart attack while all dressed up like a little girl.

Most winter days I'm just layering sweatpants, sweatshirt, & a hoodie in the house. Some of them are pink though. Wearing my zipper-front pink patterned sleepers on winter nights, are easy & fast to get out of if there's an emergency. Still, if I'm not breathing well enough though, I'll just wear the sweats so in an emergency I can get up & go with whatever I'm wearing if I have to.

Of course at night, under the blankets, I'm plenty warm enough no matter what I'm wearing or how low I turn down the heat.

If I had a coat like that, I'd wear it around the house on winter nights when I'm staying up.

In winters, I'll let my place get down to the 40s-50s F overnight. In the morning, I turn on an electric heater in the bathroom so I can quickly warm it up. Then I cook something warm for breakfast, make coffee, fire up a computer or 2, & there's heat coming off the back of the fridge (it turns on by opening it a few times in the morning). By the time I'm done with breakfast, it's usually above 60F without turning on the furnace at all.

To me 60F feels quite warm in just a light sweatshirt & sweatpants, but others shiver until it's 70F. Kitties like it cool. I never seen them shiver. It was 52F inside when I got up this morning & they didn't care. Right now it's 67F inside without turning up any heat. Cooking, the little electric bathroom heater, computers, & heat venting off the back of the fridge warmed things up.

the more I can give back.
