Having just gone through the entire gallery so far, I found some of the pictures interesting, but have to wonder about the fascination of these guys with stiletto high heeled shoes.  Of course I've never really understood why girls like them either.  And (changing the subject) is it the clunkyness that makes platform shoes so popular?

High heels are very feminine. They make your butt stick out more when you walk in them. To maintain your balance, not hurt your feet, or break your shoes, you have to walk feminine in them too.

Platforms I don't understand though. They look like Frankenstein boots to me. They seem to stem from the Japanese & Cosplay culture because of many anime characters in platforms. They also make very small Asian girls look a little taller without having to try to walk in extremely high heels. Little girls always seem to want to grow up too fast. The rest of the world got over the platform David Bowie/Ziggy Stardust fad years ago.

As a short guy, when platforms were fashionable in some circles & clubs long ago, I had a pair because they made me a bit taller.

Many heels have a platform to make them easier to walk in.  I have 3 pairs of 5 inch heels, with a 1 1/2 inch platform.  So you gain 5 inches in height.  But it's closer to walking in 3 1/2 inch heels instead of 5 inch heels, particularly with the angle your foot makes with the ground.
