Technical difficulties

We're having some web servers & database problems. To lighten the load while they & I work on it, we've switched Betty's Pub & Stories to "members only" view until it's fixed.

While we work on it, I suggest you save a copy of any stories or long posts you make over the next few days in case they get lost during repairs.

I make backup copies of the sites, but if you post something after we made our last backup copy, it won't be on that backup copy if we have to boot to it.

Also, any newest memberships won't be on the backup either. I don't think something will fail so bad that we'll have to boot or move to a backup, but it could happen.

Thanks Betty for working on this, perhaps it is ghosts in the system cause lord knows I have had a bunch of at my door tonight even with the rain. All quiet now that the wind has picked up quite a bit. I usually hear two or three sirens a night by now but there has been only one so far. Now it is quiet as the grave out there with the wind howling around the house. HAPPY HALLOWEEN  to you all.

So like I was saying high winds and suddenly we lost power. Of course the best way for you to get it to come on again is to go around lighting candles and by the time I found a flashlight and had the fourth candle lit it came on again and then it went off again for another five minutes. If I go around blowing out the candles now it will go off again so they are staying lit for awhile.
