Nostalgic... 

Now that's a word that starts to grow more significant as you age.  Came across this image the other day and it conjured (see also aroused) up so many memories I had to share.  These, with the exception of absolute Winter, were my mom's favorite nightgowns.  That of course meant they became my favorites as well.

With cloth diapers and plastic panties they were the perfect baby dress.  My mother had several which meant so did I.  Style wise they hung on until the mid 60's before they took a turn towards Victoria's Secret.  I bought my last set at Woolworths in two layers of pink nylon with a panty that lasted well into the 80's.

Very nice pic marybethsanford, my mother had one set like the mint green set and like you it became mine when nobody was around. I never had any access to cloth diapers then as I was about aged 11 but like you I did think they looked like baby dresses. I wished mom had bought more sets but until we moved to a house I never discovered anything else like them. Mom did have a rubber Playtex girdle that I would borrow sometimes though. I then discovered my sister had two sets like these when she was 11 or 12 one very hot summer and also some cute short skirt sets that had built in panties and as she was a year younger most things she wore fit me. Nice memories marybeth.
