Thanks for the tip. I never heard of the movie before.

Watching the clips -- you can never get on a bus, trolly, streetcar, or train with a cat in America. They'd kick you right off due to health laws.

Here in America they feel we'd all get sick or die of a terrible disease by sharing a public place with a cat, but it's OK to cram 100 strangers in a bus & not worry about catching anything. Many people when they have a baby on the way, will get rid of their cat or dog that's been at their side for years, or have them euthanized for fear the baby might get sick with a pet around.

I was raised in a family of 6 kids. We had a dog, cat, birds, & many fish tanks. We never got sick from them. We got sick from other people or lousy cooking. The only time we were bit or scratched by them was when we were rude, & way out of control. It's one of the lessons you learn as a kid... not a good idea to poke, tease, or torment the family pet. If they did the same thing to their siblings they'd bite too, or hit them. But we don't see siblings getting removed from their homes or euthanized just for fighting back & protecting themselves.

The UK & most other countries are much more kitty-friendly. Around here, most feel cats are for girls, gays, & sissies because real men shouldn't have cats.

I'd be lost without my kitties. Due to my illness, I'm a shut-in. I rarely make it out of my small apartment or meet other people, except when someone drops off something to fix.

If it wasn't for the kitties, & the internet, it would be like being in prison.

The movie was only released in the USA on Nov. 18. Disk release date isn't until Feb 2017. Not on the torrents yet. Maybe someone will leak it to a stream when it comes out in pay-per view in a few weeks. Not selling well at the box office in the USA. Bad reviews from the critics except for the ones on the west coast. So maybe it will make it to PPV fast.

Critics of the movie have improved. Unfortunately most American Cinemas still refuse to run the movie. I guess Americans will have to wait until it comes out on pay per view TV, or the disk gets released in Feb.

Still working on negotiating to run a copy in our private viewing section here at Betty's. But I really can't afford to pay more than about 50 cents per view. Donations are down this month.

Can't get the movie or permissions anywhere yet. The book is available but not the movie. Beware going to the torrents for the film. All so-called torrents of the film are zip files or rar files that have no movie but have a .exe file with the title that's jam-packed with all sorts of viruses & malware.

Don't download or open any zip, rar, or .exe file from anywhere unless you're absolutely 100% sure that it's from a trusted source.

Downloaded video, pictures, & music is already compressed. It serves no purpose to put it into a compressed zip, or rar file except to hide something malicious so you accidentally infect your computer or browser. Almost all safe downloaded video files will be in mp4, mkv, flv or AVI format with some very old videos or porn in mpg, mpeg, rm, ram, wma, or rmvb (popular old anime from Asia) format. All safe music files will be in mp3, flac, m4a, aac, or wma format.

With modern advances in mp3 & other compression no music format is better than another for the same bitrate & file size. These days the method of compression or lossless encoding is so similar, the slight differences are negligible. A 320kbs mp3 will sound exactly the same & take up just as much space as a 320kbs flac, m4a, wma, or aac. However because mp3 is also designed to work with small file sizes & bitrates too, a 16kbs-190kbs mp3 will sound much better than a 16kbs-190kbs flac, m4a, wma, or aac. So if you want something listenable at the smallest possible file sizes, modern mp3 will work best. mp3 recorded 10 or more years ago is worse though. It's not exactly the same as modern mp3. Wma used to be best for the smallest audio file size, but these days modern newer mp3 beats it.

.exe is an application & program file. If a download or file claims to be images, music, or video but is a .exe file it is malicious. If the media files are in zip, gzip, or rar form, 95% of the time the file is hiding something malicious they don't want you to know about. Downloaded or streaming media is already compressed, so there's no reason to try to re-compress it into a zip or other compression file unless they're hiding something or an idiot did it.

I found & posted the movie.

It didn't show in many American theaters, & the ones that did show it, only showed it for a limited time or just once. So it was impossible for most of us Americans to see it.

I finally just found a version from outside the USA to see it, hard-coded subtitled in another language, with watermarks inserted throughout the movie. Watermarks & other tags been removed in case the version leaks out to the public or onto the torrents. It was also a bit blurry. The entire movie was very orange, with lack of almost any other color, over saturated, & very dark. So I had to modify & enhance this copy a bit to make it look a better & fix the color a little.

I haven't had a chance to watch the whole movie through yet. So I'll probably be watching it when many of you are. From what I've seen of the trailers, & viewing bits during the processing, it's a good movie.

This is for private viewing only, & not for public use & distribution.

When the official PPV release becomes available at a reasonable price per view or per showing time, I may consider re-running it, if it looks better or has material not featured in this version.

Betty, I'm interested in your comment that cat ownership is somehow seen as effeminate in the US. In the UK no-one bats an eyelid at male cat ownership, they are just seen as good company for people.

In the USA, if you don't go hunting, shooting, fighting, watch sports all weekend & every evening, or own a big tough dog that looks like a guard dog or attack dog, you're suspected of being gay or a sissy. Most in America feel cats & small dogs are for little girls, & little old ladies.

But it goes far beyond that. Most of the males I know have an unreasonable hatred towards cats. Maybe because they never tried to be nice or get close to a cat, kitty don't like them much either, so they develop a mutual hatred. Once a cat don't like you or you did something they really hated, they can hold a grudge against the person or other animal for a long time. It can take a long time to regain a cat's trust & affection if you pissed them off or scared them too much.

If a stranger or prowler is in the area, my female, usually the soft gentle cuddlier one, with the high pitched baby kitten voice, will growl deep & loud like a big mean dog, ready to attack.

The Latino guys in my area seem to like their cats & small dogs a lot, even if they originally got them for their girls.

Makes sense around here too. They keep rodents, & other pests away. Most will even kill any bug entering the house or alert you to their presence. So they're really handy & useful living in the middle of the city or on a farm.

If you're too busy for a dog, like having to take them out in all sorts of weather, at arctic temperatures 5-6 times a day, or away a lot, a cat is better. Dogs are pack animals who crave lots of interaction & attention too. If they don't get it they can go nuts, get weird on you, & have psychological problems. If a cat doesn't get lots of attention, they're still fine. However a cat that isn't used to much attention won't be as sociable & cuddly with humans or the other pets. They're very adaptive to their environment & your lifestyle. If they're used to a lot of attention, they demand it if you ignore them too long. But if they're used to being left to their own devices, that's what they'll want to doing.

Odd that after dozens of hits to the post down there about the movie by REGISTERED members, absolutely NOBODY could be bothered to post to let me know the link to actually see the movie doesn't work.

WTF is wrong with people? Is this a common new modern sissy thing not to post & say anything EVER?

Facebook & twitter are busy. Why do most here lurk forever & almost never say anything... oh, wait... why bother asking? Nobody will reply anyway. They'll just read it, scratch their ass, & move on.

I know a lot of people visit here on their tiny little touch screens & no keyboard, but that's hardly an excuse. I've easily posted here on tiny $29 tablets & $45, 8 year old phone, & even a tiny little flip phone shortly after the turn of the century. I wouldn't post an essay with them, but they work, & is easier than farting.

WTF is up? Maybe you should have got a portable device for $29-$59 that you can actually easily communicate, message, & post with, rather than a $200-$900 one with lots of cool colorful blinky flashy things on the screen & Pokemon.

The more you give,
