Yep, I can remember wearing them in the early 60's.  I can't remember if a diaper was involved or not. This is a good find, thank you.

Oh yes marybeth, I remember having one very similar to this when we still lived in England and yes gunrunner a nappy was worn under it with real rubber panties. This would be the early fifties while we still lived in my nana's house with her and my two aunts. Boy was I spoiled and I got to hear all the stories and see some photo's when I went back to England and stayed there in 1970. I never realized why I was attracted to these clothes so much until my visit back home and talking with my aunts.

My other discovery was I think I found out why I was attracted to rubber panties when my aunt told me there were always nappies drying at the fireside as my sister and I were both going through quite a few. My aunty said after my bath I would always be running around wearing just my rubber knickers while the nappies dried. The first time I encountered real rubber panties in a shop in Toronto in my late teens, a flood of memories came back after smelling the rubber in my hands and I was hooked. I got the same feeling all over again when my aunty showed me a photo of me wearing just the rubber knickers taken back in the 50's. Later on that visit I was in a shop in London, England and bought my first pairs of rubber panties which of course led to many more in my lifetime.

Hi samantha 1, I was born in Manchester in 1949 and lived with mom and my sister in nana's house until we moved into a council house about 1954 with dad. As he was always away for work we stayed there until he came to Canada in Spring of 1957 and we followed in October. I will be 70 this year and have been hooked on rubber and plastic panties since about age 11 or 12 if memory serves and it often doesn't. As I was a little English school boy, I started school here wearing my school uniform for lack of many clothes. We had limited luggage space for mom, me and my sister so not much came with us across the pond. When winter hit I was in shock walking to school in snow drifts for about two miles and I recall the teacher sending a note home telling mom to get me some jeans like the other boys as my legs were red from the cold. We did not have the money so mom put me in a pair of my sisters white tights under my short pants and socks and that was the start of my other fetish. Tights, leotards and various other dance clothes worn by my sisters friends.  After being teased by the other kids for wearing the tights mom changed them to beige but of course the kids all knew anyway. When dad finally had the money for my first jeans I hated the stiff fabric against my skin and often tried to get out of wearing them. Although I have spent a great deal of time in my life trying to overcome these fetishes, it was all a big waste of time and resources as I threw away some wonderful clothes over the years, but I was never cured. When mom discovered my girl clothes and tights and plastic panties she flooded my room with literature from our church and told dad to have a stern talk with me. All to no avail and when I moved to Toronto in the late 60's I think they were relieved. Out of sight out of mind so  to speak. I had packed some girls clothes and things in a wooden box behind the furnace hoping to get them after I had a room of my own but I came home after a month and the things were gone. Nobody said a word about them so I left again and it was four months until my next visit. I remember mom telling me one day after she was starting to get dementia that she always thought she had one daughter but may have actually had two. I asked her what she meant and she just smiled and said you know. That was maybe 10 or 12 years ago and Transgender kids were in the news quite often. She would look at the photo albums and say there are my girls pointing to us playing house and tea parties. Yes I always played with my sister and her friends and pretty much all through school most of my friends were girls. Well that was a trip down memory lane but I hope it answered your questions samantha.

Same era... I saw this and other pictures like it and it's always caught my attention and then found a picture of me that dated to the early 50's so it dates the same as everyone else.  There was a time when I stayed with an aunt who made me stay in diapers as a deterrent which was way past too late by then and I suspect the bubbles were used.  I do remember the brown rubber pants and an occasional rubber bloomer as well.  I'm not sure about the memory now but it seems that a local Army Navy surplus was selling the bloomers in boxes of several.  God they were ugly.

Hey marybethsanford, I remember in the late 60's going into a Vintage clothing shop and seeing the rubber girdles and brownish or amber rubber panties. I wanted to buy these so much but I was about 18 or 19 and very shy about even looking at them. I remember my mother having a Playtex rubber girdle that I often tried on when I was about 12 or 13 and sometime in the 70's I found the same style from Sears and bought four from their Catalog and delivered right to my apartment. No shame or physical contact with a sales clerk, I loved it.

Now you did it....

I remember finding an image, the only image in all of the years searching of a pair of rubber bloomers.

Hey marybeth, these look very much like the ones I bought two years ago from Rearz, a company that is no too far away from me. I went to have a look in there shop and was overwhelmed by all the plastic pants and rubber on display as well as cloth diapers etc. The minute my hand touched the rubber I needed them. My only problem with these was the seams were sewn together  a bit tight in the gusset so they started to tear after a short while. I also bought another pair from a company called Kins in British Columbia. Their products are top notch and very well made and shipping is free over a certain dollar amount. Looking at their products I don't seem to have a problem reaching that amount each time I order.
