The last weekend of September I attended a sissy party. How we defined "sissy" was mostly up to us, although it was suggested "something feminine with lace, ribbons, ruffles and or bows ... [or] whatever makes you feel great."
This provided me with some opportunities. I had made a pink taffeta wrap skirt about a year before, which I was going to wear along with my pink petticoat that I got at the Halloween store last year. I also had a white, pink, and blue blouse that would go well as a sissy top.
I made ruffly sissy socks by purchasing a small amount of lace, sewing it to elastic, and then wearing it over white trouser socks folded down. I bought a second petticoat from the Halloween store, and although it was the same store as last year, the second petticoat wasn't nearly as full. I also saw a pair of white rhumba panties that would go just perfect.
I had also recently found a nice purple party dress and earrings that cost me all of $1.21. (Dress originally $98 and earrings originally $14, both marked down to 90% off, then applying a $10 coupon and adding $.01 sales tax.) I realized this too was short enough to go with the petticoat, and the pink and purple would go good together. I thought this would be good to change into later in the evening, and still be sissy enough.
In the morning of the party, I did some preliminary makeup. I cleaned my face with astringent and then used lipstick to cover my beard before putting on foundation (and setting it) to cover up my beard. When I'm done, it doesn't look like I have makeup on except that my beard shadow is gone.
I had also tried on the panties and the fit wasn't great. I think they were meant to be hip huggers, because they didn't seem to come up enough in the back. Which I found surprising because I would expect ladies panties to have more room in the back. My problem is that I have no hip. I wanted to wear the rhumba pants in the morning to make sure they were not going to fall off later in the day, when I'd be wearing a skirt instead of pants. I didn't need that kind of embarrassment. Fortunately things worked out well and I was able to wear my panties all day.
I came back in the early afternoon and continued getting myself ready. I started with my corset to get used to it. Then I continued by applying my eye makeup and touching up the face.
For my next bit of sissiness, I combed my hair down the middle, and parted it into two sections. I used a hair tie to pull each half close to the side of my head. Then I split one bunch in three, and began to braid my hair. I finished off with another hair tie at the bottom to keep it from unraveling, and added a pink ribbon with a big bow at the end. When I was satisfied, I worked the other side similarly and tied the bow at the bottom of my hair. Then I added my bangs to cover my forehead, and a pink and lacy headband. To finish up my hair, I clipped a large pink butterfly to my left side.
I finished getting dressed with my pseudo sissy socks and velvet Mary Janes, the petticoats, skirt and top (even tightening the corset a bit). I had packed 5" sparkly heels and my purple dress. I put on my necklace, bracelets, earrings, and rings. I packed what was needed from my wallet to my purse.
I still had time to spare, so I made a quick decision. I have bottle of pink Sally Hansen Insta-Dry nail polish. Even though it would have to come off early the next morning, I went for it. So I added to my pinkness with pink nail polish. I still had an hour to rest before it was time to leave.
One last thing I had to do. I bought two 1 gallon bottles of water. I took one and converted it into Sissy Juice. What's that? It's pink, and sweet, just like sissies. I made some pink lemonade (I even prepared a sign that said Sissy Juice and brought some tape with me.) I had more lemonade mix so that I could make more if needed (I took the water in thermal bags so it would stay cold), but a single gallon was more than enough (I ended up bringing home 1 full gallon of water plus about 2 cups (1/2 liter) of lemonade.)
The weather was spectacular, given that it was late September. The high for the day (before the party started was 86 F (30 C), 13 F (7 C) degrees above the historic average. The low that evening was 52 F (11 C), about average. But just a week later, last night the low was 39 F (5C) and the high today was 69 F (20.6 C). It made it very comfortable in a short skirt with two petticoats holding it out.
The party started with people just socializing in the back yard. We were waiting for the sun to go down over the roof so people would not be blinded with the sun in our eyes. I was in my Mary Janes until the event began. When the sun had gone down below the roof, we started.
Those who chose to
parade went up on the deck, walked across, and came back around. Then each told the audience about their outfit and about themselves. After talking about my panties, I was asked to show the audience. So as a good sissy I turned around and flashed my panties. It was a lot of fun. Anyone who wants a true sissy experience has
got to flash her panties on purpose at least once in her life.
Our hostess then thanked various people, including her husband, some close friends, and her daughter who is now helping her with the makeover business as well as offering to custom make outfits for people.
We then had a game where we had to find male and female names from A to Z. We broke up into 4 teams and each came up with our list, which was then read back to everyone.
Before everyone went in to eat, I got up and sang a song for everyone. I sang I've Gotta Be Me, usually sung by Sammy Davis, Jr. I recently rediscovered the song, and it touched something in me. And an event like this was a perfect opportunity to sing it. I had learned the words and even choreographed some expressive body movements to go along with the words.
After my song, we went to get something to eat and socialize. I changed into my
expensive dress. I was wearing it strapless for a while, and I wore the petticoats under the dress (it
was still a sissy party after all). Later, when I got tired of trying to adjust the dress, I slipped my arms through the spaghetti straps to give me some support.
Even the early evening was warm enough to stay outside, which is a good thing considering the number of people at the event. As people started leaving, I helped collect dishes that needed to be washed and garbage and recycling that needed cleaning up. It's not a matter of being submissive as it is being a good guest. It's like going into the kitchen to help clean after an indoor dinner affair. If (collectively) we leave a lot of work for our hostess she is less likely to want to host a party. Helping to clean up is part of my thank you back to my hostess.
As the crowd thinned, we went inside for more socializing and fun. I stayed late into the evening before going home. It was still warm enough out that I wasn't particularly cold walking to my car in a short dress with only spaghetti straps covering my top.
I had a great time, and was tickled pink to be able to attend such an event.
