Yahoo! Style Article
« on: March 09, 2015, 09:33:14 PM »
Last month when attending a Valentine's Day party with my TG friends and supporters, we had two additional guests.  We had a reporter and photographer from Yahoo! Style.

Here is the article they wrote.  (The Allison they mention in the story is not me, there is another Allison who spells her name with two ells.)

We get our share of sissies at these parties too.  Some of andyg's flickr friends were in attendance that night.  Stephanie and Carol are regulars at our parties.  And Emily makes an occasional appearance as well.

More photos can be found on our meetup site starting here.

Looks like fun. We don't have anything like that around here. The transgender-like group nearby seems to be bar drag queen dominated rather than for sissy or ABDL types. They actually make fun of the ones who like their pretty panties too much or even wear pretty ones. Everybody has dress like Cher, Madonna, or Lady Gaga or you're just not accepted into any of the crossdressing crowds around here.

Most of them won't even admit that they're a crossdresser. They call themselves entertainers or impersonators just because they can lip-sync to an old song or dance to an old disco tune. I think most of us can do that, but don't call ourselves entertainers & use it as an excuse to wear a dress when we really just wanted to wear one.

Hey Betty, that is sure not my thing even though I like Cher but I would never dress like her, Shirley Temple but not Cher. I love the frilly dresses and panties way too much and the shiny Mary Jane shoes also. I was in an Antique shop last year and found the most adorable frilly 1960's crinoline on a rack of children's clothes. It was $10.00 so I could not pass it up and it was size 12/14 also and I can wear it so I was very happy. I also found a camisole and bloomer set and bought that for $8.00 but it was child's medium so it would not fit me. I mounted it on a board covered with pretty wallpaper and framed it under glass and it makes a wonderful wall hanging but I sure wish I could have worn it. I have seen similar wall hangings in Victoria magazine and children's bathing suites framed and hung this way also. They make cute and cheap wall art.

Back before the fire when I had countless pretty dresses including many rare old extra frilly stuff, on a day off when I wasn't expecting anybody, I'd hang my favorite most frilly stuff around the bedroom as "sissy atmosphere". While wearing some of the stuff. It was a lot of fun all dressed up while being surrounded by lots of other frillies in full view that I might wear too.

Even today with only a few Milanoo dresses, & a couple Communinion dresses, it's fun to decorate the bedroom with them as I wear one of them once in a while.

Hi Betty,
I understand and wish I had more sissy things to "decorate" with but I do have lots of pretty panties that I sometimes lay out along with many plastic panties I have collected over the last 50 years or so. I just discovered some in a box in a cupboard in my workshop that are still in their packages from back in the 70's and 80's and I have many of the cardboard displays that held pairs of plastic panties from Beauty Industries in Hamilton that I have kept all these years after the panties are long gone. These would be from the late 60's and early 70's and were $.25 a pair back then. I bet if I lost a few pounds I could still fit into some of them, at least I wish I could anyway. The plastic is soft and shiny and some have little stars embossed into the plastic and I found some I well remember from Sears that are soft and rubbery feeling. That brings back many memories of wearing them under my clothes at school and later on at work also.
I remember in the 80's at work wearing a wonderful soft pink pair and while bent over doing a repair, a voice behind me said "I love the pink plastic panties you are wearing". I was shocked and embarrassed as I turned to see a co-worker smiling down at me and did not know what to say. "Meet me in the cafeteria in 10 minutes" he said and walked away. I was pretty scared he was going to blab to everybody I worked with but went to talk and discovered we shared a love for all things plastic. We had a few years of sharing and playing with me supplying a few of his plastic panties until the place we worked closed down and we went our separate ways. I only saw him one other time when he told me his wife had found his things and threatened divorce he did not stop. Anyway I'm glad you have some pretty things to pass the time with and dress up. I find it was always a way to relieve the stress of my work and now the stress of my health issues also.
