Kitties were anti-social for the first time in a long time. They would not come up to bed to sleep last night... which they almost always do. Maybe with too much attention for their anniversary weekend, they had enough of it, & just didn't want any more interactions. Suzie spent most of the night on a kitchen chair or the one near the computer. Boy-cat kept going under the bed. So they didn't want to spend the night around each other either.

They're social again today, bringing me their toys, or wanting lots of petting & back-scratching. I saved a can of tuna just for their special weekend, & have been mixing it in with their dry food. I also mixed up a batch of dry milk to pour over it. With only 1 can of tuna, I'm trying to make it stretch as a treat in their food for their whole special weekend.

Of course they don't understand that it's their 3-year anniversary,  but they know there's something special to get milk & tuna mixed in their food all weekend, with lots of extra playtime/cuddles. They're loving it.

As long as I know that I'm making their anniversary weekend happier & more fun than their normal day that's good enough for me.

As they get frisky, I've been sprinkling the last of the catnip on them. At this rate, the catnip will be gone by Monday.

I'm thinking of making a favorite dish of theirs for their anniversary weekend dinner tonight. Lightly salted rice & beans. With a little tuna & milk mixed in, they'll be in heaven.

Cleaned the litter box. Watching the kitties push & struggle to pee just a few drops in it. You see, they really didn't have to go because I cleaned it right after they're done using it so they're not waiting in line for me to take a long time with COPD to clean the box. But they can't resist trying to dirty up a freshly cleaned litter box even if they just went a half an hour ago.
