The stories site has way more hits & visitors than the Pub site. The Pub site is more a sissy/crossdressing site but the stories site is much more an ABDL site. Therefore it seems to me there is much more interest overall in ABDL than there is in sissy.
People go to stories in search for J/O material more. Sex sells. I see no more hits (on average) for diaper related fantasies there, than erotic crossdressing fantasies there. However to put those most popular fantasies at stories to pictures, would rate us as a hard core porn site, or many of those kind of pictures would be illegal in many countries, states, & juristictions.
Stories, is mostly just lots of writing. Betty's Pub is more visual, multimedia, & for chatting. Neither site promotes Sissy ABDL tastes more or less.
There is a slump in "hits" here right now. That's typical in the summer, & should pick up soon now that summer is almost over. Stories doesn't get as much as a slump in the summer because people get horny year-round. What surprises me this summer & the summer of 2015 though (2015 was our busiest year ever), is more people posted stuff there in the summer than usual. Usually we don't get so many writing or posting material there through the summer.
If we're getting normal traffic though, on average we get only about 1/3 the traffic that stories gets. I can push to get more traffic here by promotions & putting up more material all the time, but I have only a certain amount of web server resources available. Stories, here, & the unclegadget sites all run on their own separate independent servers, plus we have backup servers that also double as security servers. But none of the servers are capable of fully serving stories during peak traffic times, during our busiest days, or when we're under serious attacks. So our other servers, including the server for here may help serve portions, sections, & pages of stories there, or serve the security for stories to lighten the stories server's load at busy times.
If we were as busy here as at stories, I'd have to get bigger & more expensive servers. So when stories is busy enough, I don't push & promote our other sites as much, in case we need their server resources to help stories run, be secure, or use as a backup.
Also if we were as busy here as stories it would take more time to manage it all. Back in 2007, it got to be an overwhelming task at 4.5 million hits per year to Betty's sites. It's not just all those users causing extra work, but the more traffic you get, the more you attract bad, malicious bots, hackers, attackers, trolls, & all sorts of nasties. Evil will always go where they see a crowd. Back then, I took deliberate steps to reduce the traffic down to about 2.5 million hits a year by trying to scare people away, & stopped promoting Betty's.
It's only with automation, advances modern security & firewalls that I can deal with traffic of over 4 million hits a year & all the storm that comes with it again.
